Hi, I’m Emily! I grew up outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and later moved to coastal North Carolina, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and my Master’s degree in Psychology. I also met my husband, Brandon, during my time there.

I am passionate about creating a nurturing environment where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered to grow with confidence and independence. Before joining VMS, I worked in K-12 education and advocacy, focusing on social-emotional learning and helping kids and teens build strong foundations for their futures.

Outside of school, I enjoy painting, taking care of my houseplants, playing guitar, and spending time with our rescue dog, Munji. I’m so excited to be part of the VMS community and to support our toddlers as they explore, discover, and thrive.
